What can be nicer that waking up and discovering that there is a community party outside your house. The streets have closed and it is now an afternoon of walking, biking, children playing, couples strolling, and merchants and community organizations setting up shop. In SF this also means there was a free massage table, hula hoops, bike rentals, and rollerskate rentals, costumes, plenty of homegrown ghetto blasters and even the radio came out to play. This program which has been going on since March floats around the city and will be ending in October and is sure to return next year due to it's undoubted success.
There were drinks and energy bars and snacks for people
Walgreens had a tent? well I'm glad their employees got some Vitamin D while handing coupons and drinks and stress relievers. HAHAHAHAHA
I got to check out the new Bcycle- bike sharing program that was just implemeted in Denver and hopefully will come to SF.
